Concept Art for Production
This tutorial was created for my Master Class and there was a lot of people asking me to put them out there, so here it is!
I walk you through how to put together a concept shot like this, starting from gathering reference and what to look for and how it all comes together. A lot of concept art for film and games are using these very techniques to create more polished artwork for directors.
I demonstrate many techniques I use to create successful matte paintings and concept art, from photo manipulation, color correction and hand painting techniques. I use Maya to build a few assets but nothing too advanced, I'm not a hardcore modeler! I DO NOT speed through things at 5X the speed, I don't learn that way and I certainly don't think others do. I take time to explain how I THINK and WHY I do things...that's how I like to learn!
